Please pay attention! We don't have normal morning training for coming Saturday.

But....

We have BBQ at 4:00pm. Please joint!!!

Sydney Washan union (SWU) mid auturm festiveal BBQ gathering 悉尼華山聯盟 (SWU)火燒東木公園慶中秋聚會

Sydney Washan union are a group of Sydney martial arts lovers. Every week we have a friendship gathering and training at Eastwood. This time we have a BBQ gathering for celebrating our long weekend & mid auturm festiveal.


Date: 3/10/2009 (Mid Autumn/ long weekend) Saturday
Time: Start training at 4pmtill late BBQ around 6pm
where: where: Glen Reserve, Glen St., Eastwood, NSW 2122 (Behind public car park and Tong Li supermarket 通利超級市場)

what will we do?
Weapon sparring,light sparring, push hand, share martial art skills, make new friend

Do i have to pay?
No, it is free but you must bring some food for share

If tomorrow rain, it is better to bring cooked food.

Hey everyone, my name's Chris Lim. I'm new here and planning to go to the union from today, which luckily is a celebration day
Anyways... I am completely not sure what to bring... I don't have any raw/cooked meats, so I was thinking a 2L orange juice but then...[no money exc. train fee[...] ] Is it really appropriate[...]
PS : Aw.. Can anyone tell me how to get to Glen Reserve, like street number(i figured its Hillview Lane ), and where to go once I get there

There is a park on the left after 20 Glen St, Eastwood if you walk from the station.
You will see two benches and tables covered with a roof across the creek.

We will be there.

You are correct. The reserve is between Hillview Lane and Glen st. It is easy to find it.

anyway the bad weather int he nite did not damper our spirits, everyone enjoyed themselves!

Guys, look at those red eyes in the photo!! It is represent our Martial arts passion haha

Thx for Micke's fd Ben to gave us a great lecture on the techniques of speed and timing.........................

Oh yes, Mr Ben really knows what he's talking about doesn't he, and thanks for sharing that with us.

Next time hope the weather is better so there could be more active things going on hehe.

But it's still good. Some information being shared around are quite interesting, unorthordox but interesting.

Hope to see you guys again and keep them knowledge and discussions rolling.

Hi Guys,
Tks much for the kind hospitality shown to me. I do hope to get to SYD sometime in d future...for d moment SIA, my company may let B777s fly to SYD with A380s n not B747-400s which i command as Captain. I trust d interesting sharing of Hand before feet, straight lead was something u guys can use sometime..its directly off Jeet-kun-do, n lots of input from Sensei Chris de Wet, Goju-ryu master, now based in New Jersey, USA. Rhythm n Broken rhythm is a prerequisite of any SERIOUS martial artiste...as in d `old` days..its actually life n death where blades r concerned.
Of course, there r soooo many other ways to skin a cat..these 2 hopefully contributes to furthering your love n mastery of self!
Me now in perth 10th to 18th, having fun moving my lawn, househusbandry, almost daily badminton...n sessions of Sanda with a few exponents from d perth Wushu chin woo gp under Julian Tan..its a really fun session for me...sharing with people who luv martial arts!!
